C/2007 F1 LONEOS

Inverted sketch of C/2007 F1 LONEOS after sunset on Oct 26/27th 2007 as seen through the 8.5" F/7 reflector. Ion tail is very bright and 2 degrees (4 Moon diameters) in length although I suspected it was much longer than this. Those are the leafless treetops to the bottom of the sketch in my western sky. The comet dropped into these very rapidly.
